How to Deal with Failures?
Are you too among the hundreds of passionate hard-working individuals who are working day in day out to achieve success in life, to achieve your dream? And yet after years of hard work and sleepless nights nothing seems to go your way in life? And it is seeming like you are still far away from reaching your goal and about to give up on your dream then this article is exclusively for you.
Compare a Fern with a Bamboo. The fern you plant the seed and it's grown up in the next few weeks. The fern is out there and the bamboo, you plant the seed, you keep on watering it, watering it and watering it consistently. For the first year, you will see nothing out there on the surface. Second-year again nothing has come out and the same goes for the third year as well, completely blank surface where you planted the seed of the bamboo. Five years in succession nothing comes, and then all of a sudden the bamboo starts shooting out, and within six months it has shot a hundred feet.
The question that prevails is "What was it doing for those five years ??"
Anyone watching it superficial would definitely say that it was doing absolutely nothing but you know the answer that a gardener, who has nurtured it for those five years and have observed it constantly, would be that it was deepening its roots for those five years because for it to rise a hundred feet it needs such solid roots. If the roots are not strong it's going to fall over. Like the sequoia groves, which are so large that if their seed is fallen in a place that is not strong enough, then after 200 years the tree will fall over. The roots were not sustained. The bamboo needs such strong roots because it's going to shoot up a hundred feet up. Those five years it was strengthening its roots.
Similarly, God wants us to reach that perfection and it will definitely take time and in this time there will be mistakes, there will be errors, there will be times when we will fall. Never get discouraged. Perceive all these as opportunities to learn and to progress. The world may say you are a failure, but God will never say it. So many things in this world were rejected as failures and later on, they became great successes.
We have all heard of Walt Disney, he was such a failure that he was making cartoons for some church, and the only place he had to stay was a rat infected place, that is where he got the idea of the Mickey Mouse cartoon and no one is unaware of how famous Mickey Mouse is. Graham Bell, when he made his telephone, he represented it to an investor, that person said: "Take this toy off my table, I'm not interested".Don't we know what value telephones have nowadays? These endeavors dealt with multiple criticisms and obstacles before becoming a reality.
So, there is no such thing called failure, it is a constant learning process. After falling learn to stand and to look what was the reason for that fall and this will definitely change your life.
